the courses in bachelor of traditional chinese medicine (tcm) include public elementary, basic theory in western and chinese medicine, and professional and instructional practice. students must have obtained 180 credits, completed 50 weeks of internship before graduation and passed all the exams before they can obtain the bachelor of traditional chinese medicine.
clinical practice lasts for 10 weeks and will be organized during the sixth semester. students will focus on practicing internal medicine and acupuncture &moxibustion. internship before graduation lasts 50 weeks and it will be organized during the ninth and tenth semesters. the practice during the internship will include internal, surgery, gynecology, pediatrics, acupuncture & moxibustion, medical massage, orthopedics and traumatology, and other assistant courses. according to the outlines of internship, students will take in turns, and practice in different departments in the hospital
syllabus
1. academic field: chinese medicine.
2. study period: students should complete a total of 180 credits as follows: 129 compulsory credits, 8 elective credits, 39 general education credits and 4 clinical practice credits. then there is a graduation clinical internship lasting 50 weeks during the ninth and tenth semesters (the last academic year). the length for this curriculum is normally 5 years, and the longest study period should not exceed 7 years. once the student finishes the internship at the fifth academic year and pass all the examinations, she/he can get the bachelor's degree of tcm.

sclinical practice for internal medicine and acupuncture & moxibustion is arranged at the sixth semester and will last for 10 weeks.
sif students want to get bachelor’s degree of traditional chinese medicine, they must practice internal, surgery, gynecology, pediatrics, acupuncture and moxibustion, medical massage, orthopedics and traumatology and all other assistant courses at the ninth and tenth semesters.
sstudents must get 35 credits from general education elective courses.
sstudents must complete 4 credits from general education elective courses as follows: 2 credits for social sciences and human sciences, and 2 credits for art and language.
graduation requirements
upon approval from the senate of the university, a bachelor’s degree will be conferred on a student when he or she has:
1. completed and met the requirements prescribed in the study plan of his or her program within the specific period;*
2. abided by the regulations of the university;
3. cleared all fees and charges and returned all university property and equipment borrowed.
* students admitted from the academic year 2017/2018 onwards are required to achieve a cumulative gpa of 2.0 or above in order to graduate.
