fhtm must students excel: national 1st & 2nd prizes in 5th exhibition planning & creativity competition
the 5th national conference and exhibition planning creativity competition has concluded on november 26, 2024. students from macau university of science and technology (must) achieved remarkable success. among over 600 participating teams from institutions such as china university of geosciences (wuhan), fudan university, zhejiang university, nankai university, and sichuan university, the project “a new vision of green energy: 2025 green energy conservation-themed exhibition” guided by assistant dean and associate professor of faculty of hospitality and tourism management (fhtm), prof. jose wong and presented by students liang ziqin, cheng xuanya, lin meng, wu kaiyue and li ruizi won the highest award, the national first prize. additionally, the project "qihuang huazhang· planning proposal for the china-portuguese digital health forum on traditional chinese medicine", guided by assistant professor of fhtm, dr. xu ye, and presented by student wang yuxuan, luo zixuan, qiang ruilin, feng yukun, he fuxi, got the second prize. this competition further showcased the innovation and strength of must in the field of exhibitions.

the competition was jointly organized by the national conference and exhibition planning creativity competition committee, shanghai university, zhejiang international studies university, and the international association of exhibitions and events. the theme of the competition, "high-quality integration, integrated development; new momentum, new bridges, new communication," aligns with the core trends in the current exhibition industry, emphasizing the importance of innovation and integration, and providing a platform for students to showcase their creativity and practical skills. through this competition, participants not only demonstrated excellent planning abilities but also injected new momentum into the future development of the exhibition industry. the outstanding performance of fhtm of must not only brought honor to the university but also contributed to the development of exhibition education in macau and surrounding areas.
this award fully demonstrates the strength of fhtm of must in exhibition education and talent cultivation. the faculty will continue to uphold its teaching philosophy of innovation and interdisciplinary integration, cultivating more exhibition talents with international perspectives and innovative spirit, and making greater contributions to industry development and social progress.
